About us: Centre for Recognition and Lifelong Learning of the Olomouc Region (CUOK)

The Centre for Recognition and Lifelong Learning of the Olomouc Region (CUOK) was founded in March 2008 as an association of legal entities – secondary vocational schools from the regions of Jeseník, Šumperk, Přerov, Olomouc, and Prostějov, and was established with the support of the Olomouc Region and the National Institute for Education (NÚV, now NPI) in Prague. The association is a non-governmental institution for educational, methodological, evaluative, coordination, advisory, and informational activities in the field of secondary education, operating in the Olomouc Region.

The fundamental mission of CUOK is to offer opportunities for pupils, students, and citizens to acquire knowledge and skills, to recognize their qualifications, to provide retraining, and to support the development of their employability in the Czech Republic and the EU.

What we offer

Advice for those interested in retraining, obtaining new qualifications or recognition of existing qualifications:

  • Information on opportunities to improve or obtain new professional qualifications
  • Information on the recognition of qualifications in accordance with Act No. 179/2006 Coll. (professional qualifications)
  • Placement of interested parties in continuing education courses (retraining courses) at the "Local Centers for Recognition and Lifelong Learning of the Olomouc Region" in the regions of Jeseník, Šumperk, Olomouc, Prostějov, and Přerov
